Dr. Kara L. Schreder, DMD

Dr. Schreder is passionate about providing excellent dental treatment. She succeeded in building a practice that provides a comfortable, warm and family - friendly environment for her patients.

Dr. Schreder was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois. She received her bachelors in Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, Illinois. She practiced in O'Fallon, Illinois for 12 years before opening her own practice in Swansea.

Dr. Kara also taught pediatric dentistry for three years, so she is qualified to treat even the youngest members of your family.

Kara is known for the way she treats her patients. She believes in making your visits as stress free as possible.  Her patients enjoy the one on one interaction with Dr. Kara and her entire staff.  It is not unusual to even hear laughter in our office!  Patients are "family" at Schreder Family Dental. She has worked hard to assemble the best team possible to provide the most optimal care to her patients.

Kara spends her free time with her husband Nathan, two handsome sons, Luke and Ben, and their dog Bixby.
